So I told a musical friend of mine (one of the awesome pair of people who helped me acquire my cello <3) about Song Serpents, and she seemed to dig the idea... she even helped me figure out what she'd be like if she were one.
And you know I HAD to draw her one shortly thereafter! 
It was her birthday yesterday so the timing was good, too.
