Nice Hair, Pan

Usually I don't submit stuff here IMMEDIATELY after finishing it... it's more common I 'let it cool' a while before I share. But this one's straight out of the oven (so to speak)!

Anyway, I've been 'thinkering' with the concept of those ribbony plumes that grow on the draggins of planet Esmeralda, like Pan here. It seems like just a single-file line of ribbons down the back for everyone is a little boring and repetitive, especially for creatures so artistic and creative as Esmeraldian draggins. So, I've been thinking of giving every draggin their own 'hairstyle' with the plumes, according to their personalities. Part of me wants to say the plumes are extended floppy scales, but they seem to also have scales ON them so are they just extra skin? Can they be shed/dropped, and found discarded in draggin habitats like feathers, teeth, and more standard scales can? Or is each draggin's 'hairstyle' genetic and permanent? Thinkery, thinkery, thinkery. ^_^ Not sure I'll stick with this ribbon-hairstyle idea forever, but I like it right now, so I'll stay with it for at least a while. And Pan certainly looks happy enough with his stylish new locks! <3

Also tinkering with transparency again. It's such a neat effect!
