SarhGreba and Spurdoc

Two freaking doodles in two freaking consecutive days. I'm on a freaking roll. It's remarkable how quickly this very simple drawing/coloring method produces fetching drawings.

Anyway. These two people got drawn for much the same reason as those three birdy-folks yesterday ( fav.me/d7ma5pn )... I was revisiting old stories that I've neglected for a long time, and discovering I missed them. These dragons are from a story called 'Metal Wings', and inhabit the same world as Sandstorm the gryphon and the Griffpokes, but in an entirely different region of said world. The premise of their story is that dragons keep disappearing, mysteriously, and no one knows the reason... the only hint they have is two words... Metal Wings. They aim to find out what those two words mean, and stop the disappearances from happening.

First, we have SarhGreba, who again may be recognized by some of my really really old watchers from this picture: fav.me/d30e7e5 Sarh's parents were 'disappeared' before she was born, and her egg was lost in a vast savanna-like grassland to be found by a tribe of hyena-like creatures, who raised her as a very erm... distinct-looking member of the tribe. ^_^ Her name is from a language of theirs, and means 'Warrior in Black'. Sarh's personality is rather intense and serious, but also focused and 'darkly dignified'. She's an excellent hunter/tracker, and physically agile, which the creatures of her tribe seem to value highly.

Second, there's Spurdoc, who is very different from SarhGreba in many ways. He was also raised by a non-dragon entity, but this time, a human... to be specific, an alchemist. This alchemist (whose name escapes me for now) did a little experiment with Spurdoc's egg before he hatched, dipping it in alchemically-enhanced viper venom... the result being that Spurdoc cannot breathe fire, but instead spits venom. Living with an alchemist has left him quite learned and book-smart, but he's not very outgoing and prefers to be indoors... the biggest reason is probably his massive germophobia. One of his favorite aspects of his venom-breath is that he can use it to 'sterilize unhygienic surfaces'. You can imagine how he feels about going on an adventure with SarhGreba, who has been living in caves her whole life with 'primitive, flea-bitten mammalians'... he's constantly trying to make her take a bath. (Which of course she ignores very pointedly)
